My business is an outgrowth of my 27 years of experience leading, designing active travel trips around the world. I’ve also created two successful business in the past (including REI Adventures) but that was during the 1980’s and 1990’s. Today’s world is different, marketing, logistical resources and expectations by guests have changed.

My passion, experience and contact resources are the flesh and heartbeat of my guests travel experience. I love helping folks travel. I am an expert on creating fun, educational, responsible, and enlightening travel experiences that are Ri or “once in a life time” events that many travelers are seeking. My guests enjoy quietly kayaking past troops of acrobatic monkeys in the Amazon Rainforest or hiking on the “endless” Great Wall of China, or observing the quiet murmur of lamas praying in the Potala Palace in Lhasa, or experiencing the sublime accomplishment of summiting a Himalayan Peak. Ri Adventure Travel provides situations where you may stop along a trail to sip tea with a wispy bearded man and his family in a Peruvian village, or help build a library on an island village in the middle of Lake Titicaca. What is more fun than pausing on a path, surrounded by rice terraces in Bhutan with a backdrop of the Himalaya and help shy young children with their English homework before being invited to their home for chia? How cool is that? These and more are Ri experiences.
